Hello everyone

I'm new to this forum and to scopes, i've just bought myself a Horizon 8115 2-way tripod to go with my scope and am having trouble understanding the Pan Lock. am i right that it's to stop it going side to side? there's a tension thing to screw and another screw saying pan lock on it but neither of these seem to do anything? have i got the wrong end of the stick and do they do something else or could it be faulty? please help, thank you

thanks guys. when is all this cloud gonna go away!!! and the rain..... grrr.

See, when you order a scope, they invariably include a few clouds as well (probably missed them with all the boxes ) but they always forget to tell you what they've done.

Like yourself, would have been better trading in a few of the eyepieces for an umbrella!
