daffodil
Hello everyoneI'm new to this forum and to scopes, i've just bought myself a Horizon 8115 2-way tripod to go with my scope and am having trouble understanding the Pan Lock. am i right that it's to stop it going side to side? there's a tension thing to screw and another screw saying pan lock on it but neither of these seem to do anything? have i got the wrong end of the stick and do they do something else or could it be faulty? please help, thank you

JamesM
See, when you order a scope, they invariably include a few clouds as well (probably missed them with all the boxes ) but they always forget to tell you what they've done.Like yourself, would have been better trading in a few of the eyepieces for an umbrella!Clear skies and more questions soon.James
