I've used 8x30s and 10x50s, just as a grab and go. The Helios pair came as a surprise.

Firstly when you first get them and try them in daylight don't be surprised! It's like looking down a little dark tunnel. Wait for a clear sky. They are absolutely ideal as the field of view is bright and clear. I could easliy see M36 and M38 in the same fov. M37 could be easily found from Alnath. Perseus and the double cluster filled the view with stars.

They are well made and feel really solid, yet light and comfortable to use. It's probably the first time I've used binoculars without flipping the glasses up and away!

For anyone starting out or as a grab and go pair, for the money,I'd recommend them thoroughly.
