Hi all, managed to get the scope out on new years eve....as you do...trying out a few different things with the scope (12" SW)..now guiding and capturing in Maxim...I changed the setting for guiding speed in the mount...(EQ6). On longer exposures I have had trouble with star trailing....anyhow, got 40 min of M42...the image, I guess needs work, but what I was most happy with is it's improvement in the guiding...This combo (EQ6 + 12"SW) is difficult to get the balance just so..did I hear someone mention a EQ8 !!

Really nice image Paul, not doing any myself but enjoy the stuff you guys post on the forum.

Thanks Alan, Ok on your interest in Astro stuff...I'm not sure if I can recommend it...lol... many barriers along the way...BUT !! it can be very rewarding...
