Pinhole Projection For The Solar Eclipse

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help me with my plan to use pinhole projection for the eclispe on Jan 4th ?

1. Can it really be achieved by simple a pinhole in one white card projected onto another?

2. When is a hole too big and no longer a "pinhole" and therefore not effective?

3. Is the sun going to be too low to make pinhole projection worth it?

4. How good an image can I expect?

5. Will I spend too long "faffing" about to get a good image and miss the thing anyway?

6. If anyone can answer this one I am sure we will all be eternally grateful...Is it going to be too cloudy to see anything of it at all

? :(

Thanks!
