My first ever sub with no differential flexure

Thanks to my new TS 9mm Off axis guider.

Until tonight I was limited to a maximum of 10 minute subs at 1200mm fl

because of differential flexure in my setup.

At 20 minutes this is the longest usable sub I have ever taken at 1200mm fl.

Set up the OAG at night no problems and on this test finding a guide star with my DMK21 was no problem (I had about 4 to choose from).

This should now open up a whole new world of Ha imaging to me, I am a happy chap.

The 20 minute sub attached is a screen stretched JPG straight out of maxim DL.

This now also frees up the 80Ed to slap my 1000d on, two images for the price of one.

Pretty convincing. I think I had better have a look into this! The thing is, though, that you have a fast telescope. Not sure about f7 on our TEC. However, the EM200 only needs a 3 sec guide cycle so that might be okay.
