EQ3 spirit level thingy

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me where I can get a replacement drop-in bubble spirit level for my EQ3-2 mount? I got it second hand and it's lackin the level. I can use a seperate level, but the drop-in one was handy for ultra-quick setup.

Not as simple a job as it seems! You need to level the mount accurately and then position / level / glue(?) the bubble level in place or the whole thing won't work properly. It may be better just to get hold of a good quality spirit level and use that on the base of the mount.

Hmm. That's what I usually do - just thought replacing the thingy would quicken up the job. If I could find one I'd probably make the effort and set it accurately. If I could fine one...

B&Q do a couple of cheap levels including the round type and a double bubble at right angle one...

The one on my EQ3-2 doesnt agree with a builders level across the top of the mount "socket"...

I might be better carrying on with my spirit level bar across the top of the tripod method then for now maybe... I've seen the round ones but they're too big to drop in the tiny hole.
