A radio controlled clock for a fiver

Dear All,

I have just purchased a radio controlled clock for a fiver from Aldi, offer started yesterday. It has a temp gauge and a blue backlight operated by a switch at the top. It stays on for a few seconds. I bought it to help set the time for my synscan scope. I posted this in case it was of any use to someone else.

sounds like a good ideal, how well does it work? have you checked the time against anything else, internet ect?

Should work well with the goto as i think the correct time makes a big difference

I've got one of these. It came from argos in 1996 and I swear to God I've changed the batteries once since new.

They are brilliant little gadgets

I bought the clock for exactly that purpose Dave.

I've just checked on t'internet and it seems spot on.

I thought it was worth a punt for £5.

I can't vouch for their longevity.

That looks like it might be handy for timing occultations, at the moment I have to drag the laptop outside to get accurate time which is a pain and not too good for the laptop.
