Timer remote controll and mirror lock up?

Recommended Posts

Hello iv just aquired a JJC TM-C timer remote control, for my canon 450D. does anyone else have any experience using one, i can get it to take a sequence of exposures no prob, but if i try and use the mirror lock up function on the camera to avoid camera shake it wont go through the sequence properly as when the timer triggers to take the photo it only lifts the mirror, is there any way round this? or does it mean that i cant use mirror lock up?

On the 1000D I use the self-timer on the camera. I set it for 2 seconds (+ mirror lockup enabled). Then a single timer trigger works. Remember to allow an extra 2 seconds on the timing of exposures on the JJC to account for the self-timer.
