Solar Imaging.

I hope to receive my dmk 41 camera this week which i want to use with a solarscope 50 H.a. scope. Can someone point me in the right direction for obtaining my first image.

A good combo!

The DMK41 usually comes with a 1.25" nosepiece which should just slip into the diagonal.

I'd start with prime focus shots before moving into longer focal length ( a x2.5 Barlow or TV Powermate)

I mount my SM60/ED80 on a HEQ5 to provide good tracking.

IS capture does a reasonable job, start with setting to Y800 codec and gain around 600. Exposure time will vary but 1/120 should get you going. Take at least 1000 frames and use Registax V5 to process the AVI.

Focus is critical. Take your time to get it right.
