Finding Mercury

Recommended Posts

I noticed that Mercury was visible tonight and had an angular separation of approx 4 degrees from the crescent Moon. I logged that at 4.30pm it had an azimuth reading of 220 degrees. I set up my map compass, check location and then using my 15x70 binos went looking. There it was Mercury and the crescent Moon in the same FOV. :D

Let us hope that the clear sky remains for tonight.

Mark
