PHD Working ..... Finally !!

Hi

I've finally got PHD guiding correctly (well, guiding at all actually) so I picked an easy target and this is the result. Not as good as some, I concede, but it's by far the best image of M45 I've produced to date.

Thanks very much to all who gave me advice back in October as to how to overcome my problems getting PHD working correctly. I tried all the suggestions short of smashing it all up with a hammer and going back to doing jigsaws !!!

Now I'm just deciding on my next target.

Very nice image. So how long were the subs?

Sorry, lack of info there

The subs were

21 x 4.5 mins at iso 400.

15 darks

No flats

Canon 300d unmodded

I guess more subs would bring out even more nebulosity I may get around to doing more some time soon.
