Frozen Binoculars

Recommended Posts

You have to keep warming the eyepieces (very carefully). Don't take them indoors or they will mist up completely. I use a hairdryer on the lowest heat setting -take them into a cold shed or garage to do this. Be careful also not to breathe on them when you take your eyes away from the eyepieces.

Hi All

Thanks for the advice , the binoculars are hand held 12 x 50 , generally used for starhopping to aid RDF aiming , but last night every time I looked for anything dang things misted up . Hopefully another clear night tonight (third in a row :):):D)
