An effect I've noticed

I've noticed occasionally that I'll be looking at a star, there will be a "nearby" star, and in between there will be a glowin between, there is a star or two in Orion where it does this, and also in the pleadeis. Is this evidence of a nebula or what is it?

There is certainly a lot of nebulosity in the Pleadeis and also, depending where you are looking, a lot in Orion. You could check where you are looking in something like Stellarium and this will indicate the nebula's. I have certainly seen the effect you have seen in the Pleadeis and the sword of Orion.

If you have one try a narrow band filter such as an O111 this might just enhance out what you see.

I have noticed this too on occasion. Especially from a dark sky site and where there is alot of moisture in the atmosphere.
