Dark Nebula

Just curious if anyone here does much for dark nebula imaging/research? No particular reason but Im just curious to see how common it is and would imagine that is could make for some very nice pictures.

It has become popular of late, I'd say, with lots of 'aesthetic' imagers going for the dark chocolaty browns of the VdeB objects etc. It is also the holy grail in many other targets like the Cocoon and the Iris. The problem is time. To get a low noise result on the dusty stuff you need hours and hours and hours and hours! (Or a Hyperstar...)
