MPEC 2010-V55 : COMET C/2010 U3 (BOATTINI)

Faulkes North and South collaborate with comet discovery

Minor Planet Centre circular release on Nov 5th 2010 for COMET C/2010 U3 (BOATTINI), shows observers including Faulkes team members including Dr Paul Roche and Alison Tripp as well as CARA team members Nick Howes, E. Guido and G. Sostero confirming a newly discovered object from the near Earth object list is a comet.

The remarkable resolving power of the twin Faulkes scopes was able to determine that the body, currently at around magnitude 20.. previously of unknown type was in fact cometary in nature
