Any Primer on Taking Obs Notes

As you know, I've been going through this site and posting frequently. Simultaneously, I'm reading TLAO and Nightwatch and reading web pages that I find by googling. In all of that (so far) I've not read any advice on taking notes on one's viewing sessions.

Has anyone here done a how-to on making notes?

Any suggestions?

You can download observation forms in PDF which are what is recommended by the AAAA (American Association of Amateur Astronomers) . They are free .

The Astronomical League has several sections and they have observation sheets for some of the sections.

That site even gave me a list of member societies. There are several within reasonable driving distance. I will definitely contact them.

The rest of the site is going to have to wait a bit 'til I have time to explore.
