Great red spot

Did I see the GRS last night between 11 and 12pm? It appeared at the "top" of small apparent disk in my scope along with 2 cloud bands.

It was on its own as it's band is missing at present.

If anyone else can confirm a sighting of the GRS around late evening/midnight then it is my first sighting!

If you were observing on Saturday 16th Oct - the red spot was just short of transit at around 9:30 pm. It would have disappeared round the limb at 12 (am). The red spot is harder than the two Temperate Belts (let alone the NEB).

However it would have been easy to see the shadow of Europa on the SEB from around 11 pm onwards. This is easier to spot as the contrast is much higher. I saw Ganymede's shadow earlier in the evening.
