Proper go at the Cocoon.

Last night the skies were some of the best I've seen for a while:) so I decided to have another go at the Cocoon nebula, as my other effort on Monday night (4th) of one single sub came out quite well.

This was taken using my WO FF and wonderful Orion ED 80, a very capable and well corrected little scope for the price!

The FOV framed this quite well I thought.

12 X 7 min subs at ISO 800, modded 450D, stacked in DSS and processed in PS3

Wow, the detail that you managed to pick up is fantastic. Gives me something to aim for, as soon as the clouds move away.
