New OTA decision update. Thanks for everyone's suggestions. I decided on a Celestron C5 OTA as it was lighter than the Skymax 127 and I also wanted the shorter focal length. Unfortunately, though there was nothing wrong with the scope, I was not happy with it. It was very good for viewing Jupiter but I found that with a 26mm plossl and a x 2 Barlow the view was rather dim and underwhelming when looking at double stars. I put it down to being used to an 8.75" Newtonian. Fortunately I was able to return the scope and get a full refund. I think I'll stick to what I've got for now. Dave
