can someone tell me what PEC is on my synscan handset and do i need to use it and if so how? many thanks!

PEC = Periodic Error Correction. It basically dials out slight irregularities in the worm gear & is only necessary if you intend undertaking long exposure AP. Have never used the function myself so cannot offer any advice regarding setup.

To add to what Kev has posted - you don't really need it even with long exposure AP if you're using an autoguider. In my experience that is.
