Im a beginner, so forgive me if my observation report is vague.

9.27.10-

Time: 9:47 PM

Location in sky: Southeast

Moons from left to right (correct me if this is wrong)- Callisto, Europa, Lo, and Ganymede.

9.28.10

Time: 9:40 PM

Location: Southeast, moving higher at a steady pace diagonally.

Moons from left to right (once again, correct me if I am wrong)- Callisto, Europa and Lo have moved into a straight line above each other, and Ganymede.

Hi conn96, and welcome to the forum.

A quick play with Stellarium shows you've got the order of the moons correct on the 27th, but on the 28th the order was Callisto, Europa, Ganymede, and Io, with Ganymede situated very close to, and about to pass behind Jupiter. (And its Io, by the way, not Lo, :icon_salut:)

What instrument was you using, conn? Did you manage to see any detail on Jupiter?
