Is a Coma Corrector necessary for visual

one thing that I learned recently is that you can unscrew the lens element of most 2x barlows and screw this directly into the end of most 1.25" eyepieces. this creates a barlow effect of 1.5x in most cases so eg a 22mm eyepiece would equate to a 13.75mm eyepiece with the barlow element in. I have bought one of these from Astroboot and will try it with the 22mm Panoptic when/if the clouds clear. clearly the quality of the barlow will affect the view but I understand that it's less critical given the lesser magnification? the thought of an 8.7 Ethos for £10 is appealing :icon_salut:
