Moon with earthshine

Using different photographs on the internet as an example I made this drawing of the sight I have always found one of the prettiest in the hobby: a setting moon with the wonderful earthshine. Because of the angle the ecliptic makes with the horizon, autumn is the best season to view the eartshine in the early morning. Spring is best for observing in the evening.

I used pastel pencil on black paper.

For me this was a drawing to practice the technique. At the end of the current moon cycle I will try to sketch it from behind the eyepiece (weather permitting).
