Did you see the nebula through the eyepiece?

I had a camera attached at the time, so I took a few exposures. Can't see anything at the moment - I'll have to do some stacking.

I saw it last time round - quite extensively. I could see the bright core, with two 'wings' of nebulosity stretching out and curing round, plus another small glow underneath, and there was a definite shape where the dark nebulosity cut into th light. The prism stars looked nice too. I only saw the top half of the constellation this time round.

Seen during one of my nocturnal comfort brakes. First glimpse of Jupiter also came that way a few months back.

Wow - that's something I've added to my "look forward to" wishlist for the next few observing or imaging nights!
