calling all you in south wales!!

Well that should get you looking, just got my scope and was thinking who else is from the south wales area? what i'm asking is where do you go for a nights viewing?, i live in the newport area and from my house can only see from west to east, but for a mile or two in the car i can be in total darkness with a 360 degree view looking over cardiff and newport and also see the severn bridge.

So where do you all go for silence and darkness? and anyone looking for a pupil to show the ropes to (me), looking to have a night with a local club to see how i get on......please get back and maybe start something

Have a look at the cardiff astronomical society website, they have observing sessions near cardiff and penarth and are a friendly bunch
