QCFocus query

Just a quick query regarding the settings in QCFocus when using an SPC900.

In the 'Format' window, under 'Pixel depth and compression', it gives you three options: YUY2, IYUV and 1420. I have never adjusted these and wondered what they mean and what difference they have on the final image?

Those are the capture codecs you can use. They are all slightly different ways of encoding the video stream from the camera. YUY2 is supposed to be a lightly higher quailty encoding mechanism than the others, therefore resulting in high better final image. I've never tested the theory out in a comparison, just started using YUY2 when I found out about it.
