52mm filter with 2" focuser?

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to use a 52mm camera filter visually with a 2" focuser? Idea is to use a Hoya HD polarising filter (which I don't yet have) with the Crayford on my Skywatcher flextube (terminating with an eyepiece). I'm assuming that since 52mm is bigger than 2" there would need to be some sort of adapter involved.

Thanks for the responses. Attaching it to the end of the drawtube sounds like the most practical solution, if I can find a way to leave the filter rotatable (i.e. not use sticky tape!). I'd need to check for vignetting though, or would possibly need to use a larger filter size (=more cash).

Reason for my interest is the suggestion that high-transmission polarisers can be used to filter moonlight for deep-sky viewing:
