Celestron CG3 mount and tripod u/s

As a few of you may have noticed I posted a few weeks ago about the tripod spreader on My tripod breaking

When it did this the tripod collapsed completely and the mount struck the concrete patio

At the time I thought nothing of it but it seems now that the Dec gearing is no longer working...even with the screw tight it fairly easily turns

Obviously this is not good and I wondered if

A) it is repairable

:o Can I get the OTA onto the Skywatcher EQ2 advertised on FLO at 90 quid?
