Euan
It really depends on what CCD you are using, each will give a different arc sec per pixel because of differing pixel sizes and different fields of view because of the number of pixels difference. The closer they are the easier it will be to match them up in softwareAre you using a small chip CCD like the 314 or a bigger chip like the 383?There are several different ways to match them up and combine them, Photoshop is manual (as far as I know), Registar and PixInsight are the two I've tried that do automatic registration, there will no doubt be other ways as well that people will mention

JCJC
Hi astrokat,I don't know enough about CCDs to give advice but at Les Granges I used the 320e Crescent here and NGC6823 here. It seemed to do really well and picked up a lot of the faint stuff. You'd have to ask Olly but I think he was saying it's a good match for shorter focal length scopes.Jordan
