Solar Activity 29 Aug

Cloud spread in during the morning but cleared during the afternoon. Yesterday's wind had died down but the seeing was rather unsteady.

Not much going on apart from the two active areas. Prominences numerous but small and uninteresting.

1358 UT. Coronado PST CaK, prime focus, DMK41

1405 UT. Solarscope 60, 0.5x focal reducer, DMK41

AR 11101 remains pretty well unchanged:

1443 UT. WO FLT 110, Solarscope SF-100, 2.5x Powermate, DMK21

1418 UT. WO FLT 110, Lunt solar wedge, 2.5x Powermate, DMK21

1429 UT. WO FLT 110, Lunt B1200 CaK diagonal, DMK21 (two frame mosaic)

AR 11102 hasn't changed much either:

1441 UT. WO FLT 110, Solarscope SF-100, 2.5x Powermate, DMK21

1419 UT. WO FLT 110, Lunt solar wedge, 2.5x Powermate, DMK21

1426 UT. WO FLT 110, Lunt B1200 CaK diagonal, DMK21

Transparency good. Seeing poor with extensive boiling. Wind N force 3. Temperature 17C.
