Second attempt at the moon...

This is my second attempt at shooting the moon.

A single shot with my D200 at prime focus with my SW250. I managed to dismantle the 1.25" adapter to avoid the use of the barlow to achieve focus:

Comments, critique and feedback on how to improve much appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

Hi resonator, I only applied some high pass sharpening to the original file.

I know what you mean Bizibilder, this was one in a series of shots where the focus was shifted slightly to ensure at least one shot is nice and sharp.

OK, if you get hold of a program called Astra Image, it's basically a graphics package aimed just at tweaking astro photos, the deconvolution is basically a sharpener but with more control over it.

look here :-

Astra Image - Image Processing Software

I'm still learning with it but it is very powerful, but you have to be gentle and be prepared to use undo a few times and just nudging settings at first.
