Thursday 26th - predominantly sunny morning but with some high cloud interfering at times. Seeing moderate with significant boiling.

The solar disc is fairly quiet:

AR 11101, near the east limb, has a single medium sized "mature" spot and a train of pores to its north east:

Meanwhile, AR 11100 appears to be perking up as it approaches the western limb:

1053 UT. Lunt 60mm, B1200 CaK diagonal, 2.5x Powermate, DMK21

There are numerous prominences but none are especially notable.

1020 UT. Solarscope 60, 0.5x focal reducer, DMK41

Detailed images of the prominences may be found in my SF-100 first light thread.

Transparency good but with (rapidly moving, contrail derived) cirrostratus interfering at times. Seeing moderate to poor with significant boiling. Temperature 19C, wind N force 2-3 tending to increase.

You've kept the 60....

No way will I let it go - full disc on 770 mm focal length doesn't easily go, and the FLT 110 is too much for the mount I'm using in anything more than a moderate breeze (it's often windy round here!). Might try to find someone who wants to swap the 60mm front end for 50mm though.
