Something rather odd happened to me tonight.

I was viewing the wild duck cluster, at 1.24 BST, when i noticed one of the bright, central stars was moving, or rather, was not moving at all in my eyepiece as the cluster drifted out of view.

it was still there several minutes later, approx magnitude 9.

I assume this was a geostationary satellite? if not i'm very confused!
