Video Meteor Observations

Hi All,

I was just wondering if anyone out there knew of a co-ordinated network in the UK for capturing images of meteors (single frame or video) and then using traingulation to determine their trajectory.

I'm thinking of setting up a video capture system of my own but would like (if possible) to obtain some scientifically useful results.

I'm aware of the network over in Northern Ireland (where I'm originally from!) (Armagh Observatory) but I now live in Cheshire and I reckon I'm too far away to be able to contribute to that network.

Are there any groups doing this on mainland Britain?

The BAA Meteor Section does do this sort of thing, though there is not much (anything), on their website about it.

If you get in touch with the section at meteor@britastro.org i am sure they will put you onto the people that are doing this in the UK.
