Seriously though, I now have Parallels on my Mac and a remote release for my camera so when we next get some clear skies I shall try imaging my first DSO. So following that which piece of software should I use to stack my subs?

I would appreciate any information / thoughts and comments from people who have used either / both pieces of software and what they would recommend.

(A note to consider though - I am having trouble with getting DSS to work on windows as there is an error but I will try installing a 32bit version of Windows 7 at the weekend to see if this helps.)

DSS for DSO's /widefields and Reg for planets & Luna !!

As Beamish says, it isn't a case of one or the other. They serve different tasks. I use both.
