I've just taken the time to strip down and clean/regrease the rack and pinion focuser on the ST120 and im amazed at the difference. It's no crayford to be sure, but it's 100% better than it was. I would recommend a clean/regrease to anyone who has a synta rack and pinion focuser on there scope's

Nice one Gordon, most mech stuff like that can be MADE to perform better than it did out of the factory. The same mod improves eq mounts too - will keep fingers crossed that a crayford lands soon anyway but glad the r&p'll be better in the meantime.
