I am wondering if anyone has ever fitted a Dual-Speed 2” Low Profile Crayford Focuser onto a OO 250mm tube 1250mm focal length OO Dobsonian telescope? I am pondering with the idea of replacing my current 1.25" focuser with 2" focuser. Two main questions really:

1. Would there be a big improvement in viewing with a 2" compared to the present 1.25"?

2. Do I need any additional base plates, spacers, etc to get the proposed new 2" focuser on my 250mm diameter tube?
