10MM Super plossl for skymax 127

Thinking of getting a 10mm super plossl to replace the standard skywatcher 10mm that came with my skymax 127. I'm not wanting to spend more than 20-30 quid. Am I going to see any real improvement? Would the £10 super plossls on Astroboot be good enough? Basically is any bog standard super plossl better than the provided skywatcher eye piece?

I think that a bubble from a sheet of bubble wrap, would be an improvement on the standard SW "Super 10mm" EP that I've got here. My shiney new Sky Rover 8mm WA is a far superior item in the 90mm Mak.

Yes, the SW supplied 10mm is almost unusable for me. I purchased a Pentax 10mm EP, which is in a different league to what you mentioned, but the difference is amazing. I thought all high-ish power eyepieces were just difficult to use till that point.

What I don't know however, is how you'll fair with your intended purchase. It might not be much of an improvement.

For that price, you can't do better than a 9mm Volcano Top ortho - like this one for sale here on SGL <click here> If it doesn't suit you, you can easily sell it for the price you paid for it: Volcano Tops are classic eyepieces. Everyone should try them at some point!
