Worthy reward

After a 3 hours of disapointment looking for galaxies with my little scope I was finally rewarded for determination at 3.30am. I turned my scope to Jupiter and caught my 1st ever glimpse through a scope. And what a sight! Detail in the bands and 3 moons. More than I was ever expecting to see!

I guess it just goes to show, its worth perservering even on the worst of nights!

Well done! You were out a bit longer than me last night... Jupiter was peeking through the trees when i decided to call it a night. Better luck next time with the galaxies, i'm sure your perseverance will pay off.

Well done, staying up till the wee small hours often provides the best results.

Try a little earlier and see if you can spot Uranus, about 3 or 4 degrees up and right, a faint greenish dot, it looks fabulous in the lightening sky.

Good advice Yeti Monster, Uranus is my aim for tonite! Just think my little scope is telling me its time to upgrade!
