Thanks for the report - gave me inspiration for last night's observing. I'm convinced I've seen the central star in Lyra before with my 14" from my back garden in Brownhills, not far down the road from Lichfield, but after your report I took a look last night and couldn't see it. Spent ages not looking at it (averting my vision). Maybe I'll give it another try when it is directly overhead - need to convince myself the LP isn't getting even worse!
