Fine galaxy pair NGC 4550 /1

Amongst last nights gaggle of galaxies I found this pair. I only expected to be able to see NGC 4550 but no both were visible.

NGC 4550 is bighter and more extended. NGC 4551 was more circular and rounded. Interestingly NGC 4551 has a higher red shift so in fact it may be more luminous than 4550 but just further away.

The best view was with the 6mm Ortho so about x200.

This pair are found between M59 and M89.
