M13 with the VC200L

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

As you might have seen, I've been playing with the Vixen VC200L recently.

Anyway, I thought it was about time I shared some of the fruits of my labours. Here is M13 through the VC200L with the SXV-H9 @ F/6.3:

This was Ha8x120, L5x60, RGB8x60

Cheers,

Richie

Hi Neil,

Yes, its a trick i started using a couple of years ago on Globs - Using Ha allows you to get more star-detail in the centre of the cluster, which tends to be overblown with a clear filter.

So the trick is to layer through just the centre of the Ha frame into the Luminance, which gives it a bit more depth.

Cheers,

Richie
