EQ5 goto upgrade

Hi,

I bought a second hand eq5 mount for my 150P reflector, I have recently installed the Dual motors for R.A and Dec axis.

If i was to make the mount fully goto what equipment do I need to obtain?

Or should I have not bought the motors and saved up until I could afford the full goto upgrade?

GOTO requires a new motherboard and motors......

Good news is that you can live without goto....

You will have to buy the full goto kit, if thats the way you want to go.

While you are saving up though you can use the mount as is with the tracking motors, who knows, you may even get to like using it without goto and by then you'll have a nice wee stash to spend on something else......

If you do buy the goto kit then you could always sell the tracking motors on here, there is always someone looking for that sort of thing.
