I pick my moments

And the moment I picked to attempt my first image of a galaxy was last night, with a full moon today, surrounded by streetlights.

I attach it for what it is worth. I can't say I think that is very much, but in years to come I will no doubt look back on it with fond memories as my first:o.

The trailing at the edges is due to the alt-az nature of the mount (I think/hope)

I have another couple of runs to process, both of which are longer, so I suppose there is hope that something good will come of last night's efforts.
