M37 and M95 from Last night

The weather was very nice this weekend so I decided to do a system check and to workout some issues with MaxIm DL5 before the star party this week. Good job too because I ran into problems...

I had to repair my ST4 guider cable since 1 of the cores failed. This was the easy fix.

I'm still struggling with MaxIm DL5 and its guider functions. Its guiding now but the guide exposure seem to reset the main imaging chips exposure, so I really cant see the point of this at all. No doubt I'm doing something wrong.

Guide exposure 5 sec

Imaging exposure 120 sec

Everything resets after 5sec :-(

Anyway on Sunday I went back to my normal setup with a separate guide camera and guide tube using PHD and everything worked fine again.

Looking forward to seeing most of you this week at SGL5.

Hope you like the images, M95 could use more integration and more image resolution, perhaps one to revisit this week.
