Help with culminating my Skywatcher200mm Newtonion

Recommended Posts

Hi,

A good starting point would be for you to describe which mirror appears to be out of alignment and what you are seeing that show that it's not aligned properly.

The best test is a very simple one - look at a brightish star, bring it to as sharp focus as you can with any eyepiece - the 25mm will do for this - then put it slightly out of focus. The star should expand to look like a disk with a dark "hole" in its centre - like a doughnut or polo mint. The dark "hole" should appear in the centre of the doughnut. If it is off to one side or another the scope needs collimating.
