First Light - Lumenera 2-1C

Hi All,

Put the new Lumenera on the C8 last night and had a play - conditions were very windy - the planets were shaking about terribly! However, I did manage to get a nice shot of the Moon, which I am very pleased with

This is just a quick process - but I believe, based upon the colour, that I can now conclusively prove that our Moon is made of cheese! (just kidding....)

Seriously though - this camera is a joy to use - focusing with a Bahtinov mask (courtesy of Mr Psychobilly) was easy - lovely sharp diffraction spikes...

Very impressed so far - and I've got a white-light filter for the C8 on the way as well to give that a blast - I understand there are a few sunspots about as well

Hehehe - I know what you mean Peter. Just take heart in the fact that you live the other side of the country from me, so my clouds shouldn't (hopefully) affect you!
