I bought a Celestron 5SE a few months ago but the battery cover was missing,I tried to find a used one but no luck.

I contacted Celestron in the USA & told them what I needed & that I was in the UK & 3 weeks later I received a reply with the cost of the battery cover (only $10) & cost for shipping within the USA..Not wanting to wait another 3 weeks for a reply & a further 4 weeks for delivery,I asked my brother,a welder fabricator,if he could make me one.

24 hours later,he turns up with a rather spiffing stainless steel one ;)
