Deep sky imaging software

Hello, does anyone use this software and is it worth buying? I am just starting to use registax but would be interested in knowing about how this works. Does it work best on deep sky but not too well on planets and the moon? Steve

When it comes to free software....

Registrax is ideal for lunar and planetary but not good for Deep Sky... Working either with still or more normally video sequences from webcams or dedicated cams

DeepSkyStacker (DSS) is ideal for Deep Sky...Working with Stills only...

Hi Steve' i use Registax 5' on the moon and planets.And for deep sky objects i use DeepSkyStacker.A software called gimp' is free it is like photoshop.Mark
